We have learned with sorrow that according to initial reports, around 50 members of the Iraqi security forces have been killed and many others injured in a bomb attack today in Baghdad. We strongly condemn this heinous attack targeting the stability of Iraq and the unity and integrity of the Iraqi people. We wish God’s mercy upon those who lost their lives, convey our condolences to their bereaved families and hope for a speedy recovery to the wounded.

Turkey will continue to stand in solidarity with the friendly and brotherly government and the people of Iraq in their fight against terrorism.
